Welcome to the Northwest USA Room!  For the purposes of presenting specimens in a geographical format I have lumped Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and the state of Alaska which is dang near one third the size of the "lower 48" itself.  This is the first time I have ever placed specimens in this partucular room.  For this initial offering I have some common as well as unusual specimens including rarely seen manganese nodules from the Pacific Ocean seafloor off the coast of Alaska.  I decided that the NW USA room was an appropriate place to feature these since I will likely not have a Pacific Ocean Room ever.  Also another oddity is a specimen of fluorite collected in the tide pools of  southeast Alaska which has an attached barnacle on it!   The following species can be found in this update:

ludlamite, pyromorphite, epidote, molybdenite, cavansite, calcite, fluorite, gold, djurleite, thompsonite, pseudomalachite, metaheinrichite, stilbite, and aquamarine.

If you see a specimen that is sold please ask me about others. I may have similar specimens of some of these species.

Fluorite with Barnacle
Zarembo Island
Alaska

4 x 3.5 cm specimen of clear fluorite crystals on mtx with an unusual association of barnacle.  The largest crystal on the specimen is 1.1 cm across. This specimen was collected in a tide pool on Zarembo Island about 35 miles south of Petersburg, Alaska.   One of the more unusual localities for fluorite that I have heard of before...
